Learn about Chile’s turbulent past during a guided tour of the Museum of History and Human Rights and the general cemetery.
Your guide will collect you from your hotel in central Santiago. The tour begins with a visit to the Museum of History and Human Rights where, through diverse documents and archives, you will discover the history of the 1973 military coup and the reign of Augusto Pinochet.
After a lunch break in the restaurant of your choice, you will head to the general cemetery of Santiago. Containing the graves of more than 2 million people, including some of the country’s most prominant personalities, this necropolis is also a symbol of the combat for human rights and the fall of the military regime.
At the end of the evening, you will be driven back to your hotel.
