Observe Iceland's emblems: puffins and whales, thanks to this observation cruise departing from Reykjavik!
Go to Reykjavik's old port, where you'll board a small observation boat, then set sail for the islands of Engey, Akurey and Lundey.
You'll approach the coasts of the various islands by boat, to get a good view of the cliffs where puffins make their nests. It's up to you to open your eyes and search the cliffs for these little black-and-white birds, recognizable thanks to their orange beaks!
You'll also have the chance to observe other species such as Eider ducks, Arctic terns, guillemots and cormorants.
You'll be driven back to Reykjavik and have 2 hours free for lunch in one of the Icelandic capital's many restaurants. Back at the old port, you'll board a larger observation boat, this time heading for Faxaflói Bay to discover the cetaceans.
Various species of cetaceans live in or pass through Faxaflói Bay for much of the year, and if you're lucky you'll have the opportunity to come across humpback whales, Minke whales also known as minke whales, white-beaked dolphins or harbor porpoises. At the end of the second cruise, you'll be taken back to Reykjavik's old port.
