Departing Skaftafell, set out to discover the Falljökull glacier and explore the ice cave!

Meet your expert guide in the Skaftafell National Park, and set out onboard the bus towards the Falljökull glacier. Along the way, admire the view of the glaciers, which will give you a taste of the hiking ahead.

Once at the glacier, your guide will explain how the tour will take place. Visitors will be equipped with everything they need before heading out to conquer the glacier. Make your way between ice formations, through tunnels, and explore an interior ice cave before heading back.

Children under the age of 8 may not participate in this activity

Please arrive 30 minutes before departure

Visitors are advised to wear hiking shoes and warm, waterproof clothing.

We advise you to spend the night nearby. Due to weather, the roads may become blocked during winter. Reykjavik is more than 300 km from Skaftafell, or 4 hours of driving when the conditions are good

Walking on the glacier alone can be dangerous, your guide will be there to make sure you discover the glacier safely
