"Do not conform to the world around you" is the first rule of Amish Society that you will learn on this tour, as you discover the lifestyle of the Amish!
You will meet your guide at Philadelphia Train Station, made famous from featuring in the movie "Witness" with Harrison Ford. There, you will board the train to the historic town of Lancaster, home to the oldest market in the United States! Take a tour of the town by bus before enjoying a bit of free time to eat and shop (not included in the price).
You will then head for the Amish village, where you will begin by watching a short film presenting the history of the Amish. Visit the houses of yesteryear, get to know Amish families and taste the local specialities – a guide will accompany you throughout the tour, sharing their knowledge about the village's customs with you (commentary in English).
At the end of your day at the heart of Amish society, you will be driven back to Philadelphia!
